Tribute to Pastor Everett Brown
Pastor Everett Brown, Former President of the Jamaica Union of Seventh-day Adventists
On behalf of the NCU Church Building Complex Fundraising Taskforce, we wish to express our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering commitment and visionary leadership in support of our church building project. Your involvement in this endeavor goes back to 2004, when, as President of the Central Jamaica Conference, you and your leadership team championed the start of the project and gave it the foundation it needed to take root.
Your early endorsement was not merely administrative — it was a declaration of faith, a testament to your belief that God's people deserved a worthy house of worship. You saw the vision, you spoke up for it, and gave it life.
As your responsibilities grew and you ascended to the presidency of the Jamaica Union Conference, your support for this project never wavered — it only deepened. Notwithstanding your many responsibilities, you became a tireless advocate, passionately presenting the needs of our church building before the conference administrations across Jamaica and before the leadership of the Interamerican Division.
Your persuasive voice and credible influence opened doors that might otherwise have remained closed, securing financial support that kept this project alive through the years. Most remarkably, you did not simply advocate for others to give — you led by example and made personal contributions of your own, demonstrating a generosity of spirit that has deeply moved and inspired the effort both in Jamaica and around the world.
On November 9, 2022, when you cut the ribbon to celebrate the completion of Phase 2, that moment was not just a milestone for the building — it was a celebration of your legacy of faithfulness and sacrifice. We owe you a debt of gratitude that words alone can scarcely repay, and we honor you with the deepest respect and admiration.
As the journey toward full completion continues, we humbly and earnestly solicit your continued prayers, encouragement, and support. May God richly reward you for every seed you have sown into this sacred project, and may you live to see the day when the final stone is laid and the final ribbon is cut.
With profound gratitude and highest esteem,
